Fight was formed in '92 as a side project for Rob Halford to use songs that he felt were inappropiate for Judas Priest. Due to record company issues with a side project, Halfod left Priest taking drummer Scott Travis with him. Picking up guitarist Brian Tilse and bassist Jay Jay from a local Phoenix, Arizona band named "Cyanide". Guitarist Mark Chausee rounded out Halford's idea for a new stripped down sound of metal.

In '93 Fight released their first album "War Of Words". Unlike Priest, the lyrics were about more real and tangible ideas, and much more violent in their delivery. Gone were the high piercing screams of the Priest era replaced with stripped down growling vocals. The music was made leaner, more aggresive and with a harder bassline.

In '94 Fight did two things, did a nationwide tour and released another album. The tour end of things was changed as well. Gone was the leather, the spikes, and the steel. Rob wore shorts, long-sleeve shirts, and boots on stage. The rest of the band pretty much wore the same. The album "Mutations" was a collection of live songs and remixes.

In '95 Fight released their last album "Small Deadly Space". This album continued with the same lyrical style as "War Of Words", real world subjects and problems. The style of the delivery varied from surrealistic talk to the growling delivery. The music was stripped down again and made to sound more industrial.

Fight did another tour, this time opening for Metallica. They broke up shortly after this due to dis-interest from Halford and most of the other band members. Halford went on to do 2WO, Scott went back to Priest and RacerX, the other three members faded into history.
